Evidence-based screening and assessment tools are increasingly used in child welfare. Utilizing such tools can aid child welfare workers with effectively identifying the needs of children and youth and efficiently offering them beneficial services. The California Evidenced Based Clearinghouse now features a Measurement Tools section intended to help child welfare agencies identify useful screening and assessment tools and evaluate the research supporting each tool.
